The Digital Transformation stream of the Resilient Futures Consortium aims to harness the transformative power of technology to create a more equitable, accessible, and sustainable future. In an era defined by rapid technological change, our goal is to ensure that digital advancements serve as a force for good, empowering communities, enhancing individual agency, and bridging the digital divide.

Key Areas Of Focus

Responsible AI and Data Governance: We are committed to promoting the development of solutions that use artificial intelligence and data analytics in ways that are ethical, transparent, and respectful of privacy and individual rights. This includes advocating for standards and policies that guide responsible AI solutions and their deployment.

Digital Equity and Inclusion: Recognizing that access to digital technologies is unevenly distributed, our work seeks to identify solutions that address and dismantle the barriers to digital access. Initiatives in this area aim to enhance current efforts in connectivity, digital literacy, and accessibility, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their geographic location or socio-economic status, can benefit from digital innovations and participate in solution design and their implementation.

Digital Trust: As digital technologies become increasingly integral to our lives, ensuring the security and reliability of these systems is paramount. Our efforts focus on strengthening cybersecurity measures, protecting digital infrastructure, and building trust in digital systems among users and stakeholders as well as trust in media and content.

Through the Digital Transformation stream, the Resilient Futures Consortium is dedicated to shaping a future where digital technologies enhance human capabilities, foster global collaboration, and contribute to the well-being of society and the planet. Our work is driven by the conviction that, through strategically aligned collaboration for action and inclusive dialogue, we can leverage the digital revolution to address pressing global challenges and unlock new opportunities for sustainable development.

Global Challenge on Trust in the Age of Generative AI

Generative AI presents opportunities and risks, such as spreading disinformation and eroding trust that impacts global society. In response, AI Commons and OECD, in partnership with IEEE, The World Bank, UNESCO, and VDE among others are launching a Global Challenge in 2024 to foster trust and combat disinformation. Participating teams and stakeholders will collaborate on solutions for transparency, influencing policies and technological innovation for responsible AI use. The challenge will be announced in 2024. Resilient Futures and IEEE will be operating the challenge on behalf of all partners.

Prospective Partners willing to join can do so in the Global Challenge Partner Inquiry Form.
